Privacy Policy

This page is template content pending formal legal review. By using Elysium you agree to these terms in their current form; if you have questions about a specific clause, please contact us first at privacy@elysium-labs.ai.

Who we are

Elysium Labs (“Elysium”, “we”, “us”) builds an AI assistant for the home. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information about you and your home when you use our product, marketing site, or support channels.

Elysium is a pre-launch product. We collect the minimum we need to make The Butler useful, and we will update this policy as new capabilities ship.

Information we collect

Account data. When you sign up we receive your email address and display name from our identity provider (AWS Cognito). We use this to authenticate you and to contact you about your account.

Conversation data. Messages you send to The Butler and its responses are stored so the assistant can recall context across a conversation. You can delete individual conversations from the product UI.

Home and device data. Configuration you create (rooms, devices, preferences) and telemetry the devices report (on/off state, brightness, camera availability) are stored so The Butler can answer questions and take actions about your home.

Memories you opt to save. The Butler may extract durable facts from conversations (preferences, names, routines) and save them as “memories.” You can view, edit, or delete these at any time from the settings page.

Operational logs. We keep server logs (request timing, error traces, basic client identifiers) for reliability, debugging, and security. These are retained for a limited window and are not used for advertising.

How we use information

We use your information to operate The Butler, keep your account secure, debug issues, and improve the product. We do not sell personal information. We do not use your conversation content to train models for third parties.

When you opt into a cloud LLM provider for The Butler's reasoning (e.g. Anthropic), your conversation content is sent to that provider for the duration of the request, subject to their data-handling terms. Selecting the local-only model option (when available on your hardware) keeps reasoning on your own GPU.

Sharing

We share data with infrastructure providers we rely on to run the service (AWS for hosting and identity; the LLM provider you select; email delivery for transactional messages). We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

We may disclose information if compelled by valid legal process. We will challenge requests we believe are overbroad and tell you about them where the law permits.

Security

Connections to Elysium are encrypted in transit. Data at rest is encrypted using the provider-managed keys on our cloud infrastructure. Authentication uses industry-standard tokens with short-lived sessions and optional TOTP MFA.

No system is perfect. If you believe you have found a security issue, please email privacy@elysium-labs.ai with details. We commit to responding within five business days.

Your rights

You can access and update your account information from the product settings page. You can export or delete your account and associated data at any time. Account deletion removes your identity from our authentication provider and your data from our databases; some operational backups may persist for up to 30 days before being aged out.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (e.g. GDPR for EU/EEA, UK GDPR, CCPA for California). To exercise these rights, contact privacy@elysium-labs.ai.

Children

Elysium is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page as the product evolves and post the date of the most recent change at the top. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email.
